Some Good News and Some Bad News

Posted by TVDFansinAus on February 27, 2013 at 8:15 PM Comments comments (0)

Which one do you want first? The good news or the bad news? The hub productions updated their guest list for the Sydney/Melbourne Vampire Diaries Convention this morning.

"Candice Accola is no longer attending Home to Mystic Falls.

The Hub Productions never proceeds with a guest announcement unless a contract has been agreed to and permission has been given. Sadly due to personal issues, filming commitments, and despite specific contractual clauses, some guests or their representatives may still choose not to attend an agreed-upon event. As always, the Hub Productions regrets that this may disappoint fans and attendees; unfortunately, this is not something that we can control.

Fortunately, we also have news that may salve some of your disappointment, as joining us in Australia for the very first time is Zach Roerig! Zach, who plays everyone's favourite "pure" human (read: vampire bait), Matt Donovan, is eager to come out here to meet all the fans of the show."

The Convention will take place in Sydney on the 11th of May and Melbourne on the 12th. Tickets are on sale now at http://www.thehubproductions.com/Events/Vampire-Diaries-3-Home-to-Mystic-Falls/.

50 Shades of Grey

Rumour has it that Ian Somerhalder is quite interested in Staring in the up and coming film adaption of the '50 shades of Grey' by EL James. For those of you who haven't read '50 Shades of  Grey' I strongly reccommend reading it and it will just be icing on the cake if the one and only Ian Somerhalder stars in it.

Matt Davis Unable to Attend Convention

Posted by TVDFansinAus on June 5, 2012 at 11:35 PM Comments comments (0)

With less than three days untill the Return to Mystic Falls Vampire Diaries Convention, Hub Productions have announced that Matt Davis will not be attending.

The company issued the following statement:

"We were advised last night that Matt Davis has pulled out of the event, as his new TV show Cult has pushed forward their production schedule, preventing Matt from travelling to Australia this weekend. To say we are devastated is an understatement, as he was a cast favourite amongst the team and we know there are a lot of attendees out there who were looking forward to meeting him.

We immediately placed calls to all agents who represent members of the Vampire Diaries cast and checked back in with the previously contracted guests who had cancelled or advised they were unavailable, to see if there had been any changes in their schedules, however we have had no luck. At this late stage with so many of the cast unavailable due to other commitments, it has been impossible for us to find a replacement guest to meet the required flight and event times.

The event will still be going ahead with special guests already on their way to Australia, and we look forward to welcoming Steven, Malese, Nathaniel and David to the event and showing them an amazing time and huge amounts of love. With guests like these, even without Matt, this weekend will be a fantastic show and one to remember."

More Changes

Posted by TVDFansinAus on June 1, 2012 at 12:00 AM Comments comments (0)

With just over a week left until the Vampire Diaries Convention, the Hub Production has announced more changes to the line up.

"Not only was it finally confirmed that Kat Graham would be unable to attend due to a conflict with her record label, but we received a devastating email stating that Michael Trevino's trip for the CW in Monaco had been extended and he would not be able to attend our event. Unsurprisingly, this news sent the office into overdrive, but after what feels like a bazillion emails at 2 in the morning, we are delighted to announce that we have secured Malese Jow, who portrays Anna, and Nathaniel Buzolic, who plays Kol as replacement guests" said a representative from Hub Productions.
